Introduction

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to support and protect children and young people who are at risk of harm. This work occurs within legislative and policy frameworks and carries a duty of care responsibility.

What is this module all about?

This module primarily discusses safeguarding children and young adults from harm, with a focus on promoting safety measures applicable in workplace settings.

  • Workers who provides services to children and young people including in community services and health contexts.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification; however, applicants should demonstrate ability to perform tasks as required by the industry. Also, you will need to have sufficient English language skills to complete the competency based first aid training.

Theory based assessment which includes multiple choice questions.
